The Apple: One of the first commercially popular apple
varieties as it ships easily due to firm nature. Medium-size
fruit that is firm and delicately aromatic. The skin is yellow
with splashes of bright red and purple. The fruit keeps well
and is used for fresh eating in late seasons, baking, sauce and
cider making. Begins ripening in late September. Apple can
be dry and somewhat tasteless. Great keeper to eat in thewinter and spring.
