Winter apple, excellent for culinary use in late fall and early winter, good to each fresh all winter if you have storage. Surprisingly delicious especially after it stores, deep purple to blackish burgandy in color. White flesh stays greenish until winter, when it turns creamy. Gorgeous apple!
